                                                                STALBRIDGE FOOTBALL CLUB CONSTITUTION!

           This constitution was inherited and amended over the years, the Stalbridge Football Club was established over 100 years ago in 1889.

1. The club will be known as the Stalbridge Football Club, the headquaters of the club for correspondence will be the address of the secretary at the time.

2. The aims and objectives of the club is to provide and promote Association Football for all ages young or adult, of any ethnic race and any ability, to all residence of stalbridge and others wishing to be members of the club.

3. The club will at all times adhere to regulations affected by such a sporting activity.

4. The club will for organised games be affiliated to Dorset County Football Association and abide by and adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures laid down by the county Association at that time.

5.The club will whilst using the facilities within the control of Stalbridge Playing Fields Management committee at all times adhere to the requirements, procedures and regulations laid down by the Playing fields Management Committee, or any other body that which has the power of interest in the Playing Fields.

6. Stalbridge Football Club will be run by a committee which will consist of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and at least six members and a maximum number of twelve and be known as the Stalbridge Football club Committee.

7. All members of the club committee will be elected annually.

8. The club committee will meet monthly in the active sporting season.

9. The quorum for the club committee will be four.

10. Any member of the club can be elected to the committee and the club will apply equal opportunity to all.

11. The club committee will be elected at the Annual General Meeting which will be held annually at the end of the season in May or June.

12. The monthly meeting of the club committee will discuss, agree democratically and act on affairs of running the club.

13. The Secretary, Treasurer, Chairman and Club committee members will have delegated powers to deal with on going day to day matters of the club as these matters arise.

14. The club committee can make recommendations to put to the Annual General Meeting for approval on matters to be dealt with at the Annual General Meeting.

15. Finances of the club shall be controlled by the Treasurer and and the club committee. A monthly statement of accounts shall be reported by the Treasurer and presented annually at the Annual General Meeting. Expenditure payments wherever possible should be made by cheque which may have one or two signatories of club committee members.

16. The Annual General Meeting will approve or make decisions concerning all matters in the running of the club.

17. The annual General Meeting will approve or make decisions on all fees, all honoraria, competitions and appoint all officials to the club committee.

18.  The club committee cannot over rule any decision taken at the Annual General Meeting unless a Special Meeting is called. The Special Meeting must give the opportunity for all members of the club to attend the quorum for such a meeting will be eight members.

19. All individual members will be responsible for any fines or penalties imposed on them for activities within the remit of the club.

20. The stalbridge Football club will be committed to promote fairplay in all its activity on or off the field of play.
