Match Report

Match Report - 03 Mar 2012, Stalbridge Youth FC U15 2019 lost to DORCHESTER TOWN STARS

Stalbridge 1 Dorchester Town Stars 2

Goalscorer: Isaac Stroud-Allen

Man of the Match: Jack Royle

The rescheduled match against Dorchester Town Stars was played in a very strong wind which was especially hard when playing up the hill. Dorchester Town Stars had lost to Stalbridge twice already this season so they came to right previous wrongs. This was apparent in their very positive start where they dominated. Ben Siddell hurt his hand in training and Jack Royle stepped in as goalie and did a fantastic job. The wind played a huge part in the two goals scored by Dorchester and Stalbridge had 3 shots hit the woodwork. Christian played his first match and certainly made an impact and was unlucky not to score on his debut. In the second half Stalbridge were awarded a penalty which was converted by Isaac Stroud-Allen. Stalbrige kept battling but goal scoring opportunities were few and far between. On another day the shots would have gone in rather than hitting the woodwork. A great second half display made up for the lack lustre first half. Well done Stalbridge.
