Match Report - 13 Sep 2015, Result not entered

Stalbridge played host to Ash Rovers today and continued their unbeaten streak. Stalbridge started the match on top despite not being very controlled but once Joseph scored to put Stalbridge 1-0 up, all the players settled down and Stalbridge played some fantastic technical football. There was some excellent link up play between Sam on the wing and Bartek. Mid way through the first half, Andrew put Stalbridge 2-0 up. After a half time team talk, in which Stalbridge were told to calm down and concentrate on their passing it soon became 3-0 thanks to a great goal from Matt. Goals were quick to come from this point, with Bartek scoring two consecutively. Chances fell to Alex and Jacob, which were on target but one chance for Jacob was denied by the keeper, while Alex hit the post. Rory and Andrew came back on from the bench to score the final two goals of the game. A fantastic performance by all players but man of the match today was Sam Forrest. Sam was consistently brilliant, and worked well down the wing linking up with the strikers and midfield, creating many chances.
